Spetses Island

Spetses Island is a lovely island belonging to the group of Saronic Islands and easily accessible from Piraeus port by ferries and high-speed hydrofoils. Spetses Island is popular destination both for the Greeks and for international travelers. The island is characterized by the picturesque Spetses Town, secluded beaches, nice hotels and restaurants and above all with a unique atmosphere. No private automobiles are allowed, only taxis and delivery vehicles are allowed in the downtown area.

Venue and Accommodation

The course will take place in the Spetses Hotel (https://www.spetses-hotel.gr/en/). All the participants will be settled at the hotel. Accommodation will be in single or shared occupancy rooms according to your registration order and fee payment.

The hotel has an excellent location, secluded and quite, it is characterized by easy accessibility and full lecture facilities, including appropriate lecture rooms, audio-visual aids, photocopiers, computers and free internet access. The Spetses hotel has several facilities for informal meetings to allow free exchange of views among participants. This hotel has already hosted several previous FEBS Advanced Courses. The meeting is on a full board basis and students and lecturers will have all meals together, thus allowing for discussions during leisure periods. Special group rates, including free of charge lecture hall and reliable booking guarantees have been already required from the selected hotel. Accommodation will be arranged by the Course Organizers.
